The real vehicle LCJ 481F that this model represents still exists and has been fully restored and resides in Ross on Wye – it carries the unusual dark blue livery of Hereford County Council Ambulance Service. In real life, the Bedford J1 was built in large numbers and saw service with many authorities from the early 1950s to well into the 1970s. The bodywork was named after its designer Herbert Lomas and the vehicles proved very efficient.

Please note that this item has very slight damage to the box but the model itself is in mint condition.
