Just Dave Rolfe and I were on site. Jay Hirst wasn't available and Mark Burrows had a problem with one of his cars and didn't make it. Dave had removed the missing EP governor from Renown, so I cleaned the contacts then we fitted it at the top of the brake frame in 50030. Not an easy task as the two rear mounting bolts are hidden by the governor itself, and have to be attached by feel. There is also a restricted space for getting spanners in to tighten them. I then connected both governors and undercoated the brake frame conduits. The left-hand one was easy as it was 'facing' me, the right-hand one is mounted 'sideways', so was more difficult to get at the contacts. Dave had fabricated three extra support brackets to hold the 'new' conduits firmly in place, as we'd had to create much of it from scratch from bits and pieces of old conduits from store, and parts of it were a bit wobbly.
