R3303 Hornby D16/3 4-4-0 no 62581 BR black, weathered

The D16 "Claud Hamilton" class was built by the Great Eastern Railway from 1900 and the last locomotives survived until 1960. This OO scale model is finished in early British Railways black representing the class just after nationalisation complete with weathered finish.

R3333 Hornby Adams 4-4-2T Radial Tank BR black early crest

Built from 1882 to cope with increasing London suburban traffic on the LSWR, displaced by Drummond M7 class locomotives, a handful of these machines are famous for their service on the Lyme Regis branch line, long outlasting their classmates. One of these was the subject of this model, no 30584, presented here in standard BR locomotive black with red and white lining. DCC ready with an 8 pin socket, 155mm long and featuring diecast chassis and boiler with a 5 pole skew wound motor, removable coal load and sprung buffers. R3411 Hornby S15 4-6-0 no 827 Southern black with 8 wheel tender

No 827 emerged from Eastleigh Works in June 1927 and spent its entire life working mostly freights from Exmouth Junction before being cut up in February 1964. This model features the 8 wheel tender fitted to most examples of the class, with a water capacity of 5000 gallons increasing the working range of the engine. This OO scale model is DCC ready, finished in Southern Railway plain wartime black with Bulleid "sunshine" lettering and features NEM couplings. R3412 Hornby S15 4-6-0 no 827 Southern black with 8 wheel tender

No 30842 was one of the last S15s constructed, outshopped from Eastleigh in August 1936 and alternated between Feltham and Eastleigh sheds, surviving until November 1965. This model features the 8 wheel tender fitted to most examples of the class, with a water capacity of 5000 gallons increasing the working range of the engine. R3447 Hornby LNER Apple Green B17 4-6-0 no 2842 "Kilverston Hall"

LNER no 2842 left Darlington Works in May 1933 - the last example of the class built there - and survived until withdraal from Cambridge shed on September 15 1958. R3448 Hornby Early BR Green B17 4-6-0 no 61619 "Welbeck Abbey"

Locomotive 61619 Welbeck Abbey entered service on November 8, 1930, having been built at Darlington in the first batch of B17/2 locomotives and was converted to a B17/6 in January 1953, whilst allocated to March Shed. Renumbered under British Railways in August 1948 to 61619, Welbeck Abbey was withdrawn from service on September 19, 1958. R3223 GWR 2-8-0T no 4257 BR black late crest

Built for short trip with heavy loads of coal between the mines and ports of South Wales, GWR no 4257 is represented towards the end of its career in BR late crest era black. Before withdrawal in 1963 this type of locomotive would have been typical of the Welsh valleys rail scene of the 1950s. OO scale and DCC ready with an 8 pin socket and featuring a 3-pole motor with flywheel, NEM couplings and cab detail.
