Dave Rolfe, Jay Hirst and I were on site. We continued the repetitive and rather dull-but-necessary task of cleaning out the engine room in 50030 ready for the return of the power unit nad overhauled generator in due course.
Dave had found some heavy duty degreaser spray, and we used it on the sides of the engine compartment at the generator end which had black carbon soot deposits, and it fetched it off a treat. The areas were then washed down with soapy water, dried, and undercoated. A couple of before shots (by Jay Hirst) and after (by me, on the day of the cleaning) show the difference this made.
