Dave Rolfe, Richard Dale, Jay Hirst and I were on site today. Dave had finished topcoating the area where the one exhauster and motor blower will sit, and the air filter frame opposite the electrical cubicle. As the filter frame had dried, he fitted the new filter casings we'd had made. Jay did some undercoating of the last sections of welding Ian had done. Richard brought a 24v testing device he'd acquired, so he and I started testing the internal lighting circuits, from the shore supply socket by the battery isolating switch. It's only 24 volts, but this is the first time they've had electricity running through them since 1992. We succesfully tested all the internal bulkhead lights and the cab instrument lampholders. One lampholder in No.2 cab is broken and will need replacing.  Photos by Andy Rowlands.
